hi everyone.
i was wondering how far can you go on a tank of fuel.
i know with my arctic cat i could get 150 kilcks out of a tank of fuel.
with my new rubicon i went 68 klicks today and it was in the red i know its a smaller tank but i dident think it was that much smaller.
and im hopeing that it gets better on fuel as i put some more miles on it.
i've had it one week and i all ready have 250 klicks on it.
and loving every second of it.

All my sport bikes have desert tanks (eg. 5.3 gal for the 400EX). They can go all day (or night), just like me!
here in canada we use the metric system.
a klick is a kilomater.
1.6 kilomaters = 1 mile.
ps. im not in the army eather.
pss. good thing theres no draft anymore or you would be in the army.

The tank is small compared to other 500's.I have gone over 100km on a tank under drier conditions but have run the tank near dry at 60km in mud riding.

sorry to burst your bubble but a 400ex has 2.6 gallon including the reserve. My 400ex I can ride all day if I have energy to push it like im racing it all day. Usually after about 5 hours of pushing my wheeler to the limit....i start slowing down the pace a little bit. But I don't usually have to fill up that tiny tank in a 7-10 hour riding day. When I put it on the trailer....she's pretty dry though. Originally posted by: reconranger
