Default 250EX Plastic's Removal ?

My wife's 250ex plastics has the plastic pin rivets to hold the plastics in place. I've never taken them off before but have to now to work on the engine, is there a special tool neede to remove the rivets? or a certain trick? Thanks for any advice!

You push the center plug up, then pop the whole thing out of the hole. Easier said than done! Mostly, I destroy a bunch of them getting them out, because I usually have to yank them out with pliers. The least bit of dirt in them makes it impossible to do. I always keep a supply of new ones on hand for replacements.

small regular screwdriver. Work on the slotted sides of the center until it pops up enough to grab.

Yep thats all there is to it, but i agree with reconranger. I bought a bag from the dealer with 10 or 20 new plastic rivets. They wear out quickly when you remove them.
