I kept my 416 cooler by adding air scoops, along with a bigger oil tank.

..a larger oil tank helps, but at the same time, dont help really that much...add a larger oil cooler to it...micky dunlop offers one, works well..I have a friend with one,and that thing puts off some heat....I do rember seeing a long time ago ,someone offered a larger oil cool,in place of the stock one,but it was like 400$..Mickys is like 120 i think????

My cooler is less than $120 and it's the only one that works. The 400ex has a big problem with the valve, cam and rockers getting too hot and my system sends the 50* cooler oil right to the problem area. A bigger cooler will cool the oil in the bottom end but by the time it goes through all the passages and up through the cylinder and head it's still too hot to do much good.
