LOL. Another kid who hasn't a clue what he is talking about. The sport was never ever meant to be a MX racer. Although, HPD has one set up with a 416 powermaxx kit and custom chassis that will anialate almost anything out there. If you go full out with mods on both, the sport will kill the EX. Can you really get 85+ horsepower out of the EX (without NOS or a turbo)? No, I dont think so

Stock for stock the 400EX is faster. I never came across a modded Scram/sport so don't know how they run. I would still rather have a 400EX even if it was slower.

Hey BBS, I think Doug's sport (His Sport) is pretty close to 100 hp, and I think the still runs it on gas.....that sucker is fast!!!! No they may not be made for the mx track, xc...maybe, but they are definetly made for the drags.

I also wanted to post this info, for those who don't really believe in Polaris quads, some pretty amazing info on here, especially considering the displacement that is being given up.

September 7, '03 Milton, Wisconsin 100 yd. dirt drags results:

450-500 entries, Largest race in 3 states of this kind.
400 2stroke mod class-1st place Nicholas Cycle Sport 400 (Doug Nicholas)
500 2stroke mod class-1st place Nicholas Cycle Sport 400 (Doug Nicholas)
700 2stroke mod class-1st place Nicholas Cycle Sport 400 (Matt Nicholas)
500 4stroke mod class-1st place and 2nd place Nicholas Cycle Predators (Doug & Matt Nicholas)
700 4stroke mod class-1st place Nicholas Cycle Predator (Doug Nicholas)
450 4WD-1st place Nicholas Cycle Scrambler 400 (Doug Nicholas)
500+4WD-1st place Nicholas Cycle Scrambler 400 (Doug Nicholas)

Nicholas Cycle racing team won more classes than any other team!

FYI, my Scramble was more reliable than my brothers EX. Not that the EX was terrible, but the screws weren't falling out of my handlebars & gas valve like the EX did.
Thats odd, I ride my modified 440EX almost every day and it has NEVER broken down or left me stranded, all you gotta do is take care of your machine and it wont break down, usless of course it's a yamaha.
yea, EXACTLY, all you have to do is TAKE CARE of a Polaris, and it wont break down either. I am not trying to start a fight, just state a fact. You cant expect to buy ANYTHING, abuse the living he!! out of it, never take care of it, it WILL NOT last! (Yes, that includes Hondas)
