My friend and I just bought a pair of 450r,s lookin to get a thirteen tooth ft sprocket!!! Anyone have any good links as to the best place to get one QUICK!!! We are in northern MA. Also whoever has already done this little mod what do you think?? Hey just to let everyone know I LOVE THIS QUAD!!!!

I'm lookin also. Rocky Mountain and everyone else seems to be out of stock of the TRX and CRF 13 tooth front.

 

Like you said, I found all mail order stores to be sold out. I got mine from the dealer. If they don't have one specifically for the 450R get the one for the crf450R it will fit just fine. I love the difference the 13t makes. Much better for trail riding.

 

Yea i called everyone and they r def on backorder, i guess that is a good sign!!! The crf450r sprocket will work? That makes me nervous!! Not that I am questioning anyone, but i dont wanna destroy my new ride!!!

 

I put a CR450 13thooth in mine and it definitley improved 1st gear. However, 2nd and 3rd become very very very short. I recomend going with the 13 until you get an exhaust/air system. I just purchased the Bill Balance from HMF and the Curtis Sparks jets and Supercharger kit. I think i may go up a tooth in the back to a 39 and leave the 14thoothin the front, and this should be the ideal set up for me.

 

CRF450 or CR250?

 

stock crf450 front sprocket, it's a 13T- I've been running it for months without issue. I even tried a 12t in the sand, but I topped out way to quick.

 

CRF450R, it won't harm your quad. It is 1mm thinner is all, you can't even see the difference. Go for it!
