Gain?
#1
I just dropped my quad off at the local bike shop. I am having it bored 20 over, putting in a WISECO 12:1 compression piston, redoing the top end, and installing a Webcam Hi-Performance cam (w/valve springs) what kinda gains can i expect??

I can't guess with any precision what gain your latest mods will provide; maybe other readers can. What gain do you expect? Please share what actual gain you experience.
That 12:1 piston, coupled with your overbore, should produce some pretty high chamber pressures. What fuel do you plan to use?
Sounds like you're playing with a full house, let us know how it works out.

Thanx man. Well i am expecting a big difference. I hope i don't have to use race gas cause it is so expensive. But if i do i do. I probly won't get the quad back for about two weeks. I will let yall know exactly. So anybody else have any ideas about how much i will gain?????

Did web cam recommend that compression ratio for that cam?If so I would suspect you would be fine with premium gas(92)if they did not specify differently.Rememder that a more agressive cam profile will need higher compression ratio to keep cylinder filled due to bleedoff.I would say for a good idea as to how it will turn out go to GT Thunder web page and look at dyno run he did on a similarly setup 300ex.You may also want to seriously consider some port work to take full advantage of cam profile. It would be money well spent considering it is already torn down.

I don't know about that. My mechanic did all the ordering, so i assume they did. I would get my heads ported and polished, but they have to send the head to Duncan Racing in CA. ANd that will put the price over my budget. Anyone else?? By the way i cant find that on gtthunders site.
