Default Float Valve for stock 82 FL250?

I'm looking for ONLY a float valve for my 82 250 Odyssey. The dealers want me to buy a whole package with the valve, floats and all $37 If ANYBODY has just the valve I'll buy it for $20 and pay for shipping.

The float valve set only contains the needle and seat (p/n 16011-950-003 ..... $29 from Powersportspro.com) and the float is another $33

You might be able to take it to an independant shop and match the old one with something from another kit (maybe an ATC 250R ?) - also there is some company (K&L???) that sells just the needle valves, but you would have to match them up too.

Thanks for the hook up quadwrench. Problem is I don't have the old one to match it up. I THINK I MIGHT have the problem solved but I'll have to wait 1D16hrs. I didn't even think to look there till AFTER I posted here. But thats good to know IF I don't get it.

E-Bay RULES Found a complete carb $68 with shipping. Now do I just take the float valve off it or use the whole carb?

I think the easiest way would be to install the whole carb, then you don't/shouldn't have to worry about float height settings.

sounds good to me quadwrench. Thanks for the advice on this topic. I've found most people shug off Odysseys as odditys, and not "real" off road toys. But I think it's the safest thing for my daughter to ride in the dunes. Thanks again QW
