I have a stock predator and i raced my buddies CT racing built 440ex with all kinds of stuff on it. We were even the whole race, sometimes i would pass him and he would pass me, if i can hang with a 400ex with a professionally built race motor and i'm stock you will need to do alot more then pipe filter etc to beat a predator.

The 440 kit, jetting and a slip on wont do much. My motor is putting out around 42 horsepower to the rear wheels which is pretty good for a 400ex. I raced trailrider500 with my exhaust tuned way down for noise and the race was pretty good considering how corked up my quad was, not to mention I had the stock filter at the time. If you wanna race any of the new high perf quads you will have to do some serious work on your quad, the stock 400ex motor is reliable, but lame.....very lame.
