mid-pipes

If i get a a titanium 4 muffler for a stock 400ex, should I get the hi-flo, powerbomb, or the stainless tI4 mid pipe. I ride mostly trails and some tracks evey now and then. Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about the titanium 4?

If I get a K&N or a UNI, what else will I need to do to the engine before I need the midpipe? Which would u suggest? I have heard some people say just grind out the welds on the stock head pipe. Do they mean the welds on the inside?

I have the PowerBomb and Ti-4 on the Z400. It is a WICKED pipe, but very loud without the quiet core. On the 400EX I have the PowerBomb and PowerCore4. (Plus vented airbox lids and K&N's with Outerwears on both bikes.) Big power increases on both machines!!!
The PowerBomb is worth getting. For the extra money, it isn't worth getting the Titanium mid pipe. It saves a little weight, but I went with the stainless mid pipe because it is cheaper. The Ti-4 is a great muffler, but like I said, it is loud!

I have one and I think I liked my power core 4 better. The power core 4 was on a 2001.
I have the FMF Ti- 4 on this 2004 w/ ss mid pipe and its loud not real loud but loud. I liked the powercore 4 because it was a complete set up ie: spark arrester + no water would get down in it because of the shape of the outlet.
