Default Dial-A-Jet on a 250r

I have a dial a jet kit for my 250r, I want to know if I can install the hose for the snorkle kit after the air filter. On the boot that runs between the filter and carb? Or will it not allow the dial a jet to work properly. I just dont like the little filter it comes with. If it wont work I will just put it in the air box.

Thanks

Default Help with a Dial-A-Jet on a 250r

I know this isnt regarding the question, but what is a dial a jet? A type of thing that is automatic jetting, or something that just makes it easier to jet??

It will not necessarly make jetting easier. It allows you to adjust your jet range, or altitude and temp variances. The dial a jet works like a fuel injector, just vacuum activated. Siphoning fuel from the float bowl, mixes it with air then its injected into the carb just before the slide. It can be adjusted to allow different amount of fuel through.

It seems like a good idea for a 2 stroke, im not sure what it could do for a 4 stroke.
