Got one on order - along with a pipe. Heck, for $15 I'll sure give it a try. They claim it makes a noticeable difference.

What is an advance key? How hard is it to install?

Thanks

Okay guys here is the low down on the advanced timing key, it just a regular key with a lip milled out of the top left side. the key just improves rev a little, i got the x6 race pipe and silencer, air box screen, reinforcing ring for the intake, timing key, air filter, and cdi, major improvement over stock pulls like crazy up through the gears and i can power wheelie when 4th is pinned pretty impresive. i recommend sparks products to anyone. dhines you will like the pipe, they are ceramic coated and look trick. the key is easy to install they send a puller bolt with the key, take off the cover and take out the bolt that hold the flywheel on, take the supplied bolt and thread it into the flywheel and turn it pops right off. tap the old key out and tap the new one in with a hammer, easy as pie. just make sure you readjust oil level after reassembly.

timing is everything when trying to extract every bit of power out of any engine. the stock timing curve is very conservative. by advancing the timing engine extra power is the result. usually with a racing machine, you'd want the ability to alter the timing. It can also control your power band, if you got too much bottom end, you can retard the timing and loose . same can be said about advancing it, it will give you more bottom end.

yep i recommend the key. it will help, when i put mine on with the pipe and other stuff it flat out riped, it was like riding a totally different quad powerwise, you may not notice it as much because you already have a mod machine but mine was totally stock at that time.
