Default 400ex exhaust question

Alright, I put the White Bros pipe on last night on my 04 400ex and somethig weird happened. I put it on and started it up and the thing began to pop and backfire like you wouldn't believe. All I did was put the pipe on, thats it. I couldn't get it to run, so I put the stock pipe back on and it would barely run and then kept stalling, so I held the throttle wide opened and started it up and then it started running great, just like before. It was almost like something was stuck in the carb. So I put the White Bros pipe back on and it ran fine after that. I ran it around the neighborhood and everything was good. Any ideas on what could have happened?

jmart, it was probably just loading up real bad, when you held it open it cleaned the plug up. You probably will need to re-jet it as well.

And I have the white bros. E-series and recommend it.

How many discs are you running in your exhaust. Mine came with 7 discs in it and it runs good, no need to re-jet it yet. I know the more discs you put in the more it opens up the exhaust and then there may be a need to re-jet.
