Buddy of mine has a 2002 Honda Recon 250 ES 2x4 and his son was riding it over the weekend. He said he thought his son was in N or 1 and then shifted down to R or something along those lines. Anyways, it won't start now and when you put the key in and turn it on, the 1st gear light flashes and it won't come out of 1st. No Neutral, nada. I don't know if the electric shift is hosed up or what. Any ideas? Thanks.

 

find out what gear hes in and how many times the light flashes. if he needs to theres a back up foot shifter in the tool box

 

Appreciate it. He said it's flashing 1st gear, so I guess it's in 1st. Is it hard to put on the backup foot shifter? Just out of curiosity, what will how many times the lights flashing tell you?

 

I had this issue on my racher.........I took it to the shop and the shifter siliniod came lose.................
