a trick i learned for working on my dirtbike clutch is that if you lay the bike down on its side you can work on it without draining the oil. I am guessing that you could do the same thing with a quad if you realy had 2, but y change the filter without changing the oil? your just runing the same dirty oil through your new filter.

you don't have to drain the tank. you will loose a bit of oil from where the filter goes on but that is it.

Years ago when I was young I put the filter in backwards on my father's 86 350 4x4. It destroyed the head and cam so don't run it and check to see if it is right. The oil you'ed lose is cheaper than a new head! Also never buy aftermarket filters !!! The honda ones have an arrow on them to show what way they go in and I also herd that the aftermarket ones change the oil pressure but I don't know if that is true?
