I am very thorough about maintenance on my ATV's. My question is about oil types (synthetic, Durablends, etc...) for the Rubicon. The owners manual says nothing about synthetics. Will this have an adverse affect on the transmission?

Also… hunting in northern Minnesota, the temperature can be quite chilly. Does anyone have any thoughts on running the Rubicon in –20 F? Type of oil? Preventive maintenance? How will the transmission work with oil this cold?

Thanks for any feedback…

Schtick

If I remember correctly you are not suppose to use synthetic oil in the Rubicon. My dealer and I talked about this when I bought mine.

lovinhonda: I went to high school in Veedersburg Indiana, at Fountain Central. I know it was 34 years ago, but has the school system back there deteriorated so much that you can't use the the proper form of your? It is not you'r or you're in the sense that you used it. If you are in a hurry to type, at least get some of the words spelled correctly. At times your typing and grammar are so horrendous that it is hard to understand what you are trying to get across.

Minehunter-I know you could teach him to use GPS and turn him loose in Iraq with some SEALS. But, the SITREP may be hard to decipher.
