Default Auto timing chain tensioner..

Does the 400ex have it. Im pretty sure but is there a manual way to do it also? I adjusted my valves and I can still here the noise in the motor. I thought it was valves but I dunno..

the 400ex has a self adjusting timing chain tensioner. if you want to do it manually, you need to buy a manual adjuster. it isn't uncommon for these adjusters to go bad though. i woudl make sure you adjusted your valves tight enough. many of times just alittle too loose will be enough to cause some ticking.
