new carb, what kind
#1
hey i need a new carb for my 300ex, because my old one is messed up and cannot be fixed due to stripped screws and i can't figure it out anyway. so i have decided to just get a new carb because to send the quad into honda to get it fixed they will rack up the bill to 100+ bucks anyway. so my question is, what kind of carb should i get, and is there different sizes? if so should i just get the same size as the stock 300ex carb? also what is the price range and do they function in the same way as the stock one. thanks... oh yea and im trying to keep the price within 100 dollars.

Just curious - how much do carbs cost - I would have thought they would be a few hundred dollars.
By the way, I rejetted my motorcycle and the screws on the bowl were almost impossible to get out and I stripped the phillips head on a couple. I took a dremel and cut a slot in the screw head and used a slotted screw driver and they came right out with no problem. You may want to give that a try if you can.
