yeah but the banshee is way quicker, way way quicker. i think the banshee has better suspension to. the 400ex rides kind of rough and doesn't seem to land quite as smooth as the banshee. 400ex=Wheelie King
lmao.. better suspension?! lol

im not going to cater to your "what do you ride?" pissing contest. it doesnt matter "what I ride."

I made ONE single point....

Better suspensions?! lmao!

That suspension was made in the eighties, and it sucked THEN.

Don't hate.... appreciate.

well i wasn't gonna make fun of nobody for what they ride, but if you don't have a sig i and won't amit what you ride you either don't have a quad or are to embarassed of what you got. i asked what you ride because i wanted to know how you claim the banshee has such bad suspension. o well. i didn't get mine for suspension i got it to beat stupid cocky poeple who think there 400ex/ piped raptors/ predators are the fastest thing in the world.

WOW you guys aren't thinking of the bigger picture Yes the banshee is a awsome dune machine and the 400ex is also great in the dunes but it is also good in the trails. The Banshee is meant for experienced riders it has six gears that you know how to shift properly if not shifted properly the thing is a turd. Also the minute you start messing with that banshee and hopping it up you better get ready to start wrenching on it because that baby with break and that is just common on 2 strokes. I feel the 400ex is the more versitile quad and far more reliable my 400ex is pretty nasty and I don't really tinker with it too much just Gas and Go back out to the dunes. As for suspension I'm not sure but the Banshee is pretty old which leads me to think the suspension is outdated.

BTW the engine design for the ex was made in the 70s.just a thought.

but i think the banshee is one of the worst quads in the sand. the powerband is as wide as a hair on my @ss and if youre not in it you bog it down and kill it, if you are in it you bury the back tires. i give the shee a big thumbs down on the sand trails anyways. and someone said earlier about how you cant get the banshee on 2 wheels, i suppose you mean cornering and thats a negative, ive had it on one front wheel numerous times and it wasnt fun. i was praying to have my LT250 back. i would have rather been at home fixing it and not riding the banshee.

When did he ask about dunes? He said a sand pit. There are pleanty of sand pits around here, and are nothing like dunes.....

I think the 400ex would be best for what you ride.

^this from a guy who has never even riddin a banshee^. Banshee's are extremly reliable if they are taking care of, actaully my neighbor has a banshee that he beats the sh*t outta and that thing runs great and he hasn't had a problems since he got it 2 years ago. not to mention when i checked his crankcase oil level he was just about dry! and its mostly stock banshee's that have no low end. you wouldn't believe the bottom end mine has. it has more torqe than my 400ex! i know you were only tryin to help him but you really shouldn't just asume

You buying new or used. If your buying new, get a kawazukicat 400 and forget about it. But if you're looking between a couple used bikes available to you right now for a good price, get the 400ex, you won't be disappointed here in twenty years when it's still running and that shee is rusting away somewher cuz they don't make parts for 2-strokes anymore. JMO And the 400ex jumps and wheelies soooooooooooooooo sweeeeeeeeet. That and the low end torque of a fourstroke make them great for hill climbs. 2-strokes have to rely on sheer speed to get up a hill.
