So I need a little help from the honda fans out there I ride a raptor and I 'm trying to get my girl interested in getting a ride. She really cant handle the power of the Rap, Cant manage the clutch and shifting. So someone pointed to the 250ex. Keep in mind she is tiny 5'4" and 98 lbs.. However she can get competitive. If I get one of these is she going to want a larger cc quad in the future? what do we think of the SHAFT drive? good no good gimme some insight. thanks in advance...

first-get the 250ex. you aint gonna find a better quad for her, or you. ive beaten the snot out of my little bros, and it still runs like a raped ape.
second-sell your Craptor, and get a 450R

well no snide remarks needed, I used to have a 250r when I was younger it was my first bike , Unfortunately for me it was stolen. I would buy another on However they cost more $$$ now than they did then. crazy. well I dont race anymore I Like the Raptor for it's versatility, good looks and Reverse.. Oh yea No premix either. Gas is expensive enough on it's own... But thanks for the acvice on the 250ex. I'm really leaning toward it. what sould I be paying for these If I grab an 03? thanks again

Only 98 lbs, I would think she would love the 250ex to death and the power characteristics would suit her nicely with her light weight.
Another quad in the same tree and even cheaper is the recon and they are almost as much fun as the 250ex only with a slightly higher weight, racks and better fender coverage.
The price will depend on your demand/supply in your area but is this a new leftover 03 model?

i had the the same setup i got myself a raptor and my girlfriend a 250ex, let me tell you its a pretty fun quad to ride. and my gf could handle it no prob. it gets up most stuff and you dont have to worry about her messing up your clutch since it doesnt have one, very low mant. i highly recommend it as 2nd bike for tag alongs, i was actually thinking about hooking it up with a pipe, filter, jet kit just to see how much it opens up. i got it last year for like 2300 OTD and its an '03, it was used but really clean and well taken care of.
