Look at the post- POWER CORE IV 2 400ex
so the power core iv 2 is all sound and no power?
someone said on that post "I couldn't give you an exact horsepower gain, but it was VERY noticable. Blows the plastic off my buddies 400's with the MegaMax and the Big Gun. Unbelievable low end power and torque."
I am very confused now on what to get.
00 trx400ex - ac mudscreen front bumper, nacs headlight covers
86 trx200sx - powersport bandit 20 in rear tires

Chris660,
I must address your statement about the FMF Power Core IV 2 having NO increase in power. This is VERY inacurate! Next time, before you post, please have experience with the piece of equipment so the readers of this board can have good information. (This is NOT a flame, but just some advice )
As for the FMF, I do have it. I ALSO have it jetted properly. I CAN speak from experience with this pipe and jetting it. It does have a very good performance gain for the buck.

Ok let me make this easy for you...CURTIS SPARKS......a little on the expensive side but you get what you pay for....I put the complete exhaust w/jet kit/uni filter...all cost me about $450....but let me tell you I have never, let me repeat, never been beat by another 400 without internal mods...the guys I ride with have 1.trx250r 2.400ex(wb exhaust) 3.400ex(fmf) 4.banshee(dynocorp 2 into 1) and some mohaves.....the 250r runs even with me but the guy has done everything except big bore....the 2 400's run even with each other but 2 lengths behind me tapped out in fifth.....the banshee i can beat too but the guys got almost bald tires so i don't think thats a fair race, he just sits and spins and I jump out and then he holds me even for the rest....so there you have it I have nothing to gain by lying to you I just wanted you to know what a great pipe CS makes and the guy earlier had it right..you do see a lot of them at the mx races...hmmmm wonder why...the only thing you might want to think about is that they are rather loud but the guys behind will have to deal with that..LOL...anyway sorry so long winded but just wanted you to make an informed choice....oh one more thing a friend of mine thats also got CS pipe on his 400 told me when I was looking that he knew of a place that dyno'd all the pipe and that DMC,Supertrapp,FMF,WB,BigGun,Yoshi,Dg,all the rest gave 4 to 5 HP, but the CS pipe gave 7 to 8 , don't know if this is true but again, NEVER been beat.......never typed this much in my life.............

Check out this site for an exhaust shootout.

I would go for either the e-series or DMC, i am not familiar with the Curtis Sparks, I'll have to check out thier web site if they have one.
