I know this is a honda place but be honest I want to start racing but I don't know if I should keep my 300ex or if I should get a 350 raptor what would be better. I still want to do some trails and mud this wouldn't be a problem would it

From what I hear that 300ex is built like a tank. Im not sure how they hold up on the mx track but I would think you would need somthing bigger, maybe a 400 or 450.. I have seen alot of 400ex's take home the gold in races. However with the new 450 rush you might be intrested in getting on of those. I just think that a 300ex, of 350raptor would get small quick once you start taking it to the track.

They hold mx races down here and now that the 450's came out they have been taking home the gold everytime...one of those, a 400ex, or z400 would probably be in your best intrest.

Shavo, they have classes just for the 300ex's, warriors, 250ex, blasters , etc.

I would have to honestly say a 300ex is definately the way to go in this class. A warrior is just to heavy.

keep the 300ex,over half of the racers in the sport class run 300exs.Also the rap 350 maybe better in a little stuff, but you could save money by keeping the 300ex and putting some nice things on it to make it better than a rap 350.

If it is in good shape, the 300 is the toughest sport quad anyway.

i saw on atv sport one ninght they were showing the 200-350 amateur class races and a blaster was first then a 300ex then another blaster. Not sure of the mods but im sure the blasters were 240's and the 300 were prolly 330's there were not even any warriors in the race i think.

I have alot of experience with 300ex's and warriors and my buddy just bought a raptor 350. the 300ex dosent even compete with the raptor 350. the warrior is fast but the raptor 350 puts it too shame. the only simalaraties of the 350s is the engine and suspension, and thats what the warriors were good for a reliable motor and good suspension. 300ex's are only good for plowing a trail through brush out in the middle of the woods and thats were they should stay. if you really want to get into racing get a 400ex they are every where and you can find them for sale for about 3500 used.
