how many turns are you supposed to turn the gas mixture screw on an 86 350 fourtrax 4x4

 

does any1 know anything bout this damn thing

 

Its about 1 3/4 turns out from seated...but thats just a starting point. That should be good enough for it to start, but fine tuning is required from there.
Have you got any mods, or is it totally stock?

 

its totally dtock. my uncle bought it last thursday. adn it would start to the touch but it wouldn't idle right so yesterday he took the carb off to clean it and it was screwed all the way in. the reason it was screwed in was cause the threads were grinded down and it would suck air or something. so he got a rebuild kit for it and hes putting it back together and wanted to know. he also bought that way.
