I bought a 400ex about 2 weeks ago and there 2 spots on the frame that the paint is just flaking off. Both spots are about 3/4" in diameter. Anybody else have this problem. I ride it hard but not that hard. I'm alittle upset.

 

The stock paint on the frame is absolutly terrible...it will just keep flaking in different places over time. I bought mine brand new one year ago and I had the same problem. I am in the process no of taking mine apart and getting it powdercoated in blue. But me and 6 of my friends have 400's and they are all doing it.

 

Mine is doing the same thing. I just went and bought some gray spray paint that is very close to the stock frame color and use a q-tip and touch up the bare spots. Works for me.
