To get a civic to preform anywhere near the level of a corvette Z06, Strait or road course you would end up spending just as much if not more money. And you would still have a civic, that with all the mods is probably a unreliable piece of ****.

Okay, which imports? Cause pretty much NOTHING outhandles or outbrakes a Z06 Vette.
I bet you could get an s2000 to be VERY competetive with your vette. With about 20k of mods to that s2000 and you would have a beast! (20K because the z06 is listed as 52,999 and the s2000 is about 32k)

He was talking about FWDs. I'm sure you see how silly such a statement is. You won't catch me talking too much smack about the S2000 because I think it's a pretty decent car. If it just had a turbo, it would be a great car!

no one is denying that some of, if not THE best handling cars, in the world are imports, but generally speaking as you put it, it doesnt mean it handles better if its an import versus a domestic.

and i would love to see the s2000 beat the vette in the 0-100-0

and most of the silvias suffer from oversteer making them great drifting cars.

Just to nitpick, the current MR2 is a FWD chick car.

Also, you forgot the mention the bigdaddy of all Japanese performance cars, the Honda NSX! Yet another sweet Honda which just needs another 100hp to justify its price. I'd take a Skyline just because AWD rocks, IMO. My wife has a 98 Talon that runs 12.9s and can still cruise around when there's 6" of snow on the roads, that's cool!

I would take a Skyline anyday!!! Man I even love the look of them!

Thank you Grand Tourismo for that introduction!

I wouldn't mind a Ford Escort Cosworth while we are talking cars! Well, any rally car for that matter... = )

You may get your wish..It looksl ike the Skyline will be in production in the U.S. in 2007....450HP...which isn't very much comperitively....the Corvette C6 Bluedevil for that same year should have around 600hp stock...a ford GT killer

RSX doesn't come in the Type-R trim. That was the Integra. RSX comes in the "S" trim, and if I'm not much mistaken, all RSX's are vtec.
