how can i get more ground clearance on a 400ex

Default how can i get more ground clearance on a 400ex

is there a lift kit or anything that would raise it....and if so tell me or give me a link thanks

larger tires, longer shocks, or even try to stiffen up the stock shocks

Default how can i get more ground clearance on a 400ex

In addition to those mentioned, go to a smaller front sprocket, smaller rear sprocket, switch to Honda 250r brake setup. Then, you can modify your rear skidplate. You will gain about 1/2" clearance if you do it right. If you go to 22" tires, move to a 13 tooth front sprocket instead of the stock 15 tooth.

how would longer shocks give u more ground clearance......and how would they fit?

22" tires and a 14 tooth front. Puts you pretty close to stock gearing.


Well.....unless you mean with the modded rear?
