Default whut pipe for 400ex?

I am wondering what pipe u would say is the best for the 400 ex, I am also going 2 put a k&n on it with outerwear if that makes any difference. Also is it worth the money to get a full system not just a slip on.

The best in my opinion is a WB E-Series slip-on!

Both of our E-series pipes are broke. I had to weld one back together, already. I wouldn't give them to anyone, thats how bad they are.

The curtis sparks x-6 is the most power gain of pipes for the 400ex.

Ditto. My E-Series cracked too.

If you don't mind loud, I think the Supertrapp is the biggest bang for the buck. Assuming you want economy since you don't want the head pipe too.

I have a Pro Circuit T4 slip-on and I think its works just fine. Love the way it sounds!
Unless your motor is bored oversize or you have a high reving cam with a higher compression piston, I would stick with the stock headpipe. Its better for low end torque anyway which the 400EX motor works best at, IMO.

Default whut pipe for 400ex?

i run an e series on my 400ex and a trinity on the z400 there both real nice pipes as far as the e series breaking i havnt had my ex long enough to find out the e series was already on it. the trinity is awsome but a little loud. a buddy of mine runs a t-4 on his raptor and its got a real good sound and not to loud at all. the big guns are real loud also

but man hey theres a lot of good pipes out there i think you would probably be happy with any aftermarket pipe as long as you rejet and probably a filter which you said you was gonna do.(WHATEVER YOU BUY DO NOT BUY A DG I HAD ONE ON MY 300EX PIECE OF CRAP UNBELEIVELY LOUD NOT MUCH HP GAIN UGLY THE ONLY PLUS IS THAT IS VERY CHEAP
