In a flat drag race a stock Banshee will take a 400EX. Throw in a few turns and few jumps and you should be able to take him, all things being equal. You have to remember, the Banshee is a sand rail. They are designed for top end screaming, hence the name 'Banshee'. They don't handle as well as the EX and are top heavy, (at least to me). The EX is a 4 stroke trail/Baja type machine. More low end power and a better handling quad. Both are designed for different riding environments. Both are great quads but have different performance characteristics. Anyone that has trail ridden or ran a MX track knows that top end is very rarely used. Sand dunes are a different story.
