300 4X4 owners
#2
My experience has been that the 300 4x4 is a good reliable atv. It isn't a speed demon, but serves it's purpose. You might also want to consider the Bayou 300 4x4. It's in about the same price range but has a different set of features. If you are looking to buy a trx300fw new, you better hurry because dealers are starting to run out of the last shipment of these.

The 300 is a great machine, We have 2 of them, 1 is 4x4 the other is 2x4. The only problem we have had is with the ingition module on both were replaced. the kicker is they are both 1988's. tires, oil, fuel. I'm sorry to see them go out of the line up, that's progress I guess. They are not real fast but will stay with you all day long. I have gone a bit over 100 miles on a tank of gas. Ride on but Ride safe!!

I have 2 300 4x4's as well. A 1993 300 4x4 and a 2000 300 4x4 and they will last forever. The '93 was wiped out about 2 years ago by a car and I had to put a new front end in it and its still goin strong. The only problem is, is that i have to get new shocks in the front end. I got my 2000 model back in december and it was the last one in the shop! Is that luck or what?

I have a 97 300 4x4 and it has been great! I have a lift, 25x9.5x12 vamps, Warn winch and racks. Over 500,000 FourTrax have been sold. Best selling model of all time. Engine is simple and bulletproof. Many, many aftermarket parts and accessories are available.

I have one, its a 93 model and been put threw heck. Its been hit by a truck, just broke the foot peg and messed the fenders up a little bit. And weve had it through mud alot, and it still runs like a new one. I would to suggest to get it, but you better hurry up because they aint makin no more of them!

I had a '93 4x4, but my little sister rides it now that I have the 400EX. Its the perfect 4x4, never did anything but change the oil and put in gas, and I rode the HECK outta that thing. It's been submerged in water up to the fenders numerous times, been mudding, rolled, crashed, everything you can think of, and it just keeps on going. I only hope that my 400EX has that kind of reliability through it's life.

We have some that ride in our group and I have seen them under 4 feet of water and more. If the get swamped, it seems they start right back up and just pump the water right out. Very dependable and can any where you should want to go.
