Alright, this is kind of dumb, but I was just wondering if there are any little things you can do to a 400ex without buying anything to make it have an edge over other stock 400s? I know about the throttle cable, but I don't know what to do. Could someone help me on that also? I know this has probaly been discussed many times, but whenever I try a search, I can never find anything. Thanks a lot.
P. S. I'm going up to Jack Frost, this Wednesday,
August 16th. If anyone is going up there then, if they can, I'll be there. There will be a 300ex, Blaster, and my 400.
If you know something about the topic, please respond. I would appreciate it. Thanks.

You've already got the K&N, remove the airbox lid
and increase the mainjet one or two sizes. If
your 400 came with a 148, bump it up to a 155.

clean air filter, lube chain, don't run worn sprockets, change oil, make sure everything rolls smoothly, etc.

Alright, thanks a lot for the info. I couldn't get to the shop today to get jets, so I will have to wait until Thursday. Thanks.
