Rubicon

Instead of buying all the kits for a Rubicon. I think you would be alot happier with a 500 Scrambler if you like fast trail riding. If you are more into utility type of riding then don't look at a Scrambler because it has no low range. I think the Rubicon is more of a utility type quad. It sounds like for the riding you do a Rincon would be better for you then a Rubicon if you have the money. Another quad you might want to look at is the Outlander 400 from Bombardier.

I hear that,
The only reason I was thinking of doing this is that the lady who owns the Rubicon would trade me straight up for my polaris, so thats not a bad deal at all, considering I bought the scrambler for 2k.

Monty you need to take that Rubi out on the trail where you ride and see if you like it as far as ride, speed, trail handling and things like that. If you are trading to get a 4x4 thats cool but I would think the Rubi would be one of the worst trail riding 4x4 out there. Good luck in what ever you do.

I would trade if I was you, if you find the rubi is not for you the resale on a rubicon is much higher than a scrammy 400 2x4. I love to trail ride my rubicon, it took a little gettin used to, I had a Z400 before.

why does people think the rubi is a bad trail machine? why is the sp500 a good trail machine but not the rubi (besides the sp500 has IRS)? i just dont get where you people come to that conclusion. people say a rancher is a good trail machine but not the rubi? you guys dont know wether to **** or wind your watch it sounds like to me. the rubi is a great trail machine

My family has a rubicon with over a thousand miles on it with no problems. I ride it in the desert and on river bottoms frequently. It is used for hunting in the snow and mud a lot. One thing to note is where other atv's don't have very good fender protection for mud (hunters and guns covered with mud) the Rubicon keeps the riders clean. That trade you have lined up is an awesome deal!
