You all remember the Honda z50 minibike? I had one of those when I was little, I wish I would have hung on to it. Since Honda doesn't make them anymore, I did some searching around and found Panda makes a "Fun Rider". This is basically a replica of the z50...steel tank, folding handle bars, super49cdi air cooled motor, street legal, etc. I was wondering, anybody ever heard of these or seen these? I can get a decent price on a new one, but I wonder about the quality of these replicas. It's not a honda!

I really want one for cruising around the beaches, looking for surf, then being able to get on the road legally.

 

I dunno about that bike you are looking for, but honestly if you really want a z50 just keep an eye in the trader and tri ad. I see them quite frequently, and because of honda making them super reliable even pooched ones usally only need a piston and rings. You can pick them up fer 500 bucks er less usally in perfect running order. Seems like alot but they are getting kinda rare, I am going to be picking one up myself in the next few years just for walking trails and fun. There great!!! I find it hard to belive they're road legal, I know I would want to be on anything slower than my old tlr200 relfex on the road, but you could always just drive down the shoulder!!

Try looking here. or at the local honda dealer. They make a 50, which isnt that much different than a z50. Except it has better tires, and suspension.
