im going to buy a used quad, and im wondering witch is better for trail ridiing a 250r or 250x. and i would like to know how good the 250r is on gas,and if you can put a 330 kit on a 250x, thanks

 

a 250r is for racing a 250x is for trails. and if you want to put a 333 on an x why not just get a 300ex or something

 

If you are an experienced two stroke rider--buy the R. It will do anything asked of it, you just have to know HOW to ask. The X IS much more USER FRIENDLY. If you're new to the game go for the X. My $0.02.

 

The X also has reverse, the R doesn't. The X will go twice as long on a tank of gas, but when it comes to power, the R really kicks butt!! Your Choice!!

 

The R is a better machine (faster, better suspension, handling), but the X is a great bike. I owned one for 12 years. If you are new to ATVs I would suggest the X. The X will also be cheaper. Either way you go, I think you will be happy. Enjoy!
