Default Anyone with LRD exhaust?

Over the last few months Ive been researching an exhaust system for my 400ex..

I love the sound of my buddies T-4 (non silenced) on his raptor, but I didnt wanna follow him and get the same thing (afterall, the idea IS to get a better one, right?

So, ive seen the LRD systems, they look nice, but how do they perform.

I do plan on jetting the carb at the same time (DYNOJET kit), and want to get the BEST gains out of it. (gotta close the gap between my bike and my buddies 660R)

Basicly, I need other options, and yours guys experience with these exhausts (not just the ones i listed but others..)

I dont mind a LOUD pipe, (the unsilenced t-4 on a raptor sounds like hes lighting 1000 cherry bombs off, and it sounds nice.) I dont, however wanna break 200dbi (for TrailPass reasons).

I would like a pipe that i COULD add a silencer core, later if needed.

Any comments or suggestions appreciated!

Thanks

Well, I guess the silenced version would be quite, but I plan on getting the race one, without the silencer..

Is your 2stroke one silenced?

One of my buddys has teh LRD on his 400EX. It sounded good, it almost sounded like my Sparks X-6. The only problem I see with his, is that it is rusting. I am not sure how he felt about performance.

theres nothing special about the 400ex silencer at all but i know that arlan has done extensive testing with the headpipe and it works well plus the reverse megaphone looks cool

Yeah, im buying a 1 year old used one, the head pipe the guy said is in great shape, needs some polishing, tahts it.. and the silencer is in good condition, slight rust on the back end. But hopefully i will be able to get this entire package for less than 200$. Which saves me 250$, for having to take the time to clean it up and treat any rust spots, if they are bad
