Default Dissapointed in the 450r

A buddy of mine from down the street bought a new 450r Honda.

Another buddy of mine brought over his 03 Polaris Predator.

I was driving the 450r and my buddy was on the Pred. 1-2 gear it was even. 3rd gear and the Pred run from the 450r. Very dissapointed in the 450r. Both of us weigh about the same. If thats how a basic 450r runs thats not good to me. I guess all the hype on how bad those things are is just that "HYPE". I have a 400ex we never raced my 400ex versus the 450r but the 450r felt like it had some more torque than the 400ex but nothing else. Just thought i'd see if thats how them 450r's really run. Nothing to jump and and down about. And not to mention the "old school" kick start. I can handle weighing 5 pds or so heavier when it comes to having electric start and kickstart.

On 28x10.5's with a 582ci motor with 2 Foggers it ran 7.90's 1/4. Ran it in limited street.

Kind of funny. I can't recall one single owner of a 450R on this site claiming to be dissapointed. Least of all me. What is this, about 20 of these threads now?

Its just like me and my Buddys YFZ, Everyone says there quick as he11 but my Raptor and Shee are right next to him in 300ft and after that the Rap and Shee are gone, I mean they leave it in the dust. We Switch Riders and same results. I have also raced a couple other YFZ's and they have all turned out the same.

stock for stock the yfz would definatly beat both the raptor and the shee but top speed idk how fast a rappy or a shee goes but if they fatser than the yfz then its got to be somewhere around 80

I ride with a friend who owns a 0'3 raptor and in drag's I leave him, but he catches up. When the trail get's tight or on the track, it's no contest. The extra weight of his machine takes it's toll. I like the raptor for what it is, but I'm way pleased with my R......

the ones that I have lined up against haven't showed me nothing, There Fast, but there nothing like everyone is saying, Smoke a Raptor and DS650 with ease in 300ft. yea right
