Also terrain, barametric pressure, relativity to sea level, how the engine has been broken in, how warm the engine is, etc. etc.

The dyno top speed was in 5th gear right as the engine hit the rev limiter. I raced at the Ashtabula TT this year and was hitting the limiter down the front straight just before I had to let off for the corner. I would have to believe that I was going around 75 mph because there was no tire spin on that sticky surface.

that's def. not a stock 400ex then. that thing must be at least a 440cc. iceracer, i assume that ur talkin about doin this on ur 450r, if so, then 75mph is very beleivable. even a decent pipe should add a couple of mph to ur top speed.

i had a 400ex with the powercore 4 pipe, new cam, jetted properly, and stock size tires, i rode it next to my friend's truck and he said that we were going about 69 mph. 73 is quite fast for just having a pipe. is the gps mounted to the quad and designed to measure speed like that? or is it one of those handheld ones?
