What happened to the 250R?
BURKEDADDY, I'm planning on moving out West (Palm Springs or Vegas) in a few years but for now there was no point in keeping the R. There is absolutely no place to ride a sport atv in South Florida legally without having to drive 5 hours each way or driving 2 hours and paying $25 to loop around a 3/4 mile mx track.
I'm having fun with the bike though, when I get home and I'm frustrated, I can just open the garage and let it rip. Riding my R took days of planning, tralier loading and setup. I do miss off-road riding but I was just kiding myself with thinking is was practicle to have an atv in Miami.

It sucks to see less and less of the R...I'm not interested in watching 4 strokes race. I have a feeling the R is going to hold
it's track records for quite awhile. It's just that there were so many parts from so many different companies it was crazy. Plus,
they had the best of the best riders on em. Bill Ballance comes to mind right away. He was like the God on the 250R.

Bill Ballance, Barry Hawk, Gary Denton, Mark Earhart, Donnie Banks, Bob Sloan, - all these guys raced the greatest quad of all - the 250R!! They help immortalize this machine! Yeah the manufacturers didn't give us many new models, especially HP sport quads, but I think they would have had a hard time building something better than the R until now, and it is still a competitive ATV! Maybe only the yFZ and 450R are better.

R's still dominate around here which is so great to see. We hail the open class. It's amazing to watch because the new thumpers try to
step up in the open modified class. They try to run against Quadzilla's, 350/330R's and LT250R's. New thumpers don't do too good unless
theres an accident. Maybe they'll step it up this year
