New Hondas ?

I'm kind of confused on this. Is the foot shift Recon gone? Is an "ESP" Recon all they will offer?
The Foreman 4X4 looks to be a Rubicon with a manual transmission. But again, no foot shift model, just "ESP"? The engine has the same bore as the Rubicon, but a shorter stroke. And, it is air-cooled (why?).
And why no Trax-Lok on the Rubicon?
It appears that the only foot shifter left in the ute lineup, is the 350 Rancher. All-in-all, a very disappointing lineup! With Honda's resources, you would think they could afford to put more effort into their R&D!

Even though I own a Honda Rincon,Honda is falling WAY behind the competetion in regards to offering customers the same features that the competetion allready has @ a lower price.
I like the Rincon, but it lacks certain features, like front disk brakes[my drums LEAK]a locking front differential, adjustable shocks, and a reverse over-ride button. But yet,my Rincon has the HIGHEST MSRP of any 4x4 quad in its class.Honda will soon be knocked out of the number ONE ATV sales spot because they are to far behind their competetion and dont listen to their customers.
I'll be looking at the competetion for my 2005 quad.

The sport line in particular, has been neglected for years. I bought the Z400 because I got tired of waiting around for the 450R, and then I bought the 450R, because I got tired of waiting around for the 650EX! And now, no 650EX anyway. They are absolutely IDIOTS to sit on that beautiful XR650 engine, and do nothing with it all these years!
The 400EX is an introductory preformance machine, and adding $500 to its price is way out of line! Just adding reverse is not going to bring it up there with the Z400, which is liquid cooled, has better shocks, and a much more modern engine.
Honda's bread and butter bike has been the Rancher 350. Guess they will be happy to just sell people those. And, when everybody starts having trouble with those "ESP's"..............
It's hard to imagine where Honda's efforts are going. Dirt bikes? Street bikes? Lots of new scooters? As always with Honda, it's "maybe next year", all over again.

I just spent about 20 mins typing only to have the power flash off. Everything I typed is GONE.
At this point, I'm just going to type that Honda 5uck5. (I'm a little aggravated.)
Everyone buy Vinsons and Z400's.

Guys, it looks like TraxLok is on the new Rubicon after all. It's right here in their press release:

No idea why they didn't include that on the "new models" site.
At least that's one piece of good news.

Even if the Rubi does have TraxLok and new disc brakes. It's priced too darn high for a 500. People could buy a Suzuki 700 with EFI and IRS. ----- Suz. King Quad 700- $7199. & Rubi 500- $7399. What the heck is Honda smoking?
It's like Honda is pissed that they have to make changes. So they're going to really make their customers pay because of it.
