more air than we can imagine? first of all, no such thing. second of all, its a little easier fall 18 feet down to water than to hard dirt. cuz guess what...we wont go down and swim back up. our legs would break. and our quad would run over us (unless you have a kill switch).

I just Sold My Polaris, my Wifes Warrior, and bought a new KTM 300 exc, a new DR 350 for my wife, a new XR 80 for my Oldest son, My youngest stil rides the fourtrax 70. I've always ridden and raced bikes, And got into quads back in 92 to introduce my wife into the sport.. Although I had not many problems actually breaking down with the quads i owned, the Maintenace was horrific. I was ALWAYS buying brakes, bearings, tie rod ends.. ETC... Im glad to be Back into Bikes, but I would Like to have another quad sometime in the future, A big 4x4 that I can just put on.

I you really enjoy riding....save some cash and get your quad in good working order. You will thank yourself later. Personally, I usually work on them until I tear something up.

none of the fun of atving is working on them. Riding them is fun ,and getting lucky on them are the only fun things about atving, paying for them and working on them are allot of fun. Buy a brand new one. saves allot of hassles.

However the last 3 club rides we have had over 20 quads of all makes, even Polaris & not one breakdown.
You guys and your perceived Polaris breakdowns kill me. 3 Scramblers in our riding group, worst problem in the past year has been a broken chain.

Aw, shucks. Try this, buy the quad and have it smoke the motor 2 months after you buy it. Take it to a famous builder (Trinity Racing) and have them charge you $300 for a top-end on a 250R! Take it out and the thing smokes again in 3 days! Take it back to Trinity, ask for a tear-down only, wait 2 weeks, go back and they did another top-end (I didn't ask for this to be done). Argue with them and get the price down to $150, take it out and SMOKE IT AGAIN IN JUST 6 DAYS!!!! Think I didn't want to give up? I did! Miles from camp and it was hot as hell and had to be towed back to camp. Took the motor out, took it to Orange County Honda. They split the case, replaced the shift forks, crank, seals and bearings, rod, piston, honed the cylinder, and put it all back together for $430! That was over FOUR YEARS AGO! It hasn't broke down since! Just spend the time and money to get it right.
