Another stupid question...

Is Pro-X is an aftermarket piston manufacturer (like Weisco)? Is the piston designed for this application, or did they find a piston from another application that would work (ie. is it designed for a 1997 MXZ Ski-Doo or something)?

the esr isnt an esr cylinder. ESR buys a "pro-x" cylinder and ports it. Then they call it an esr 310 ect. But in actuality its an esr pro-x 310, 330 ect. The piston is designed for the cylinder.

Donmt forget that the 310 is acually a 295 so its 35 more cc's to the 330 which is acually a true 330. In my opinion I would mechine the cases (75 dollers) and put in the 330 with all the bores, you dont have to buy the bolt on 330. I mean 50 extra dollers and alot more potiential. Its worth it..... The only reason most people get the pro X 310 cylinder is because they want more potiental. The Pro x cylinders have better ports than an oem cylinder. You could just drop a 295 sleeve in the oem cylinder for about 200 or so, and be real close to a pro X 310 set up, or you can spend 50 extra dollers than the pro x 310 and get the 330 which has alot more potiental. IMO you might regret getting the 310. Look into it a little more. It also depends on what else you want to buy like a carb, reed cage, pipes, heads, ect....

the ESR 310 runs good ......
BUT, if you want the real power go ESR 370 total package $2600
thats all motor work
new pipe
air box eliminator
new 40.5 carb
complete.....do your self a favor and spend the extra money on there CR style ignition
awsome...

310 kit around 50-55 H.P.
370 kit around 75-85 H.P. depending on alcohol...
330 kit Sucks
350 kit same price and without the stroked crank.....minus about 10 H.P.

youre way off on the horsepower numbers.

310 is a 35 horse motor. The 330 is a 40-45 horse motor. The 350 is a 50 horse motor, and the 370 is a 55-60 horse motor. These are gas numbers.

Eddies best personal alk motor that his own employee owns is only a 75 horse motor. His work is must less extensive on his customer motors.

And if you ask, ive had his 310, 330, 350, AND 370 motors on my dyno to prove these numbers.

didnt honda310 on planetsand hit 60whp on alky with a 310?

i cant believe a 310 could be a 35hp motor but i never had one so i dont know.

ive easily beaten quads with 45hp+ on my 250 but i guess weight just plays that much of a role.

EDIT: Typos

title of the topic is ESR though. Neal did 70 on alk i believe but had months and months worth of porting/reporting/dyno/redyno work to get it there.

Those numbers are for esr motors

Thanks for the feedback. Is ESR the place to get it then? What is the difference between the "Econo Port" and non-Econo port. I see CT offers packages.

I thought I saw somewhere you could get one with a Nikasil cylinder?

70 with a 310 is awesome. im sure his new motor has him losing interest in his 310 now.
