Default Recon Brakes

I have a 2001 recon and and well we all know the rear brakes suck to begin with but i rode mine and didnt touch it for about 2 weeks// when i took it out again, i started to drive and the brakes were stuck// i figured they might unstick if i ride it a little, so i rode like a 1/4 mile and it was slow and smoking so i turned around and i dont know whats wrong with it// everything looks good but there still stuck // any ideas

Default Recon Brakes

If you do any riding in mud or water then you probably have one of the problems I went through with my 99 recon. One of my problems is that my brake pedal would stick in the down position, and cause the brakes to stick. A bigger problem I had was that water made it past the rear seals and seized the drums. If pulling the pedal up, loosening the wing nuts at the brake, or just backing up a few inches doesn't free up the brakes you probably need to get the rear brake drum rebuilt.
