Shouldn't all the year cranks be the same? I think all thats diffrent is the connecting rod and piston....

The connecting rod is part of the crank, so no they are not the same.

Ok we found out what year it is the Motor is a 86 and the frame is a 88.

Ok, so now here are your options. You can put any year crank in that motor but the last time I checked prices, an '86 crank was considerably more money than the 87-89 year cranks. So it might be best to buy a long rod crank and if you use an '86 piston you will have to use a spacer plate and possibly modify your head stay if you are using one. Or you can buy the '87-89 style piston and not have to worry about the spacer plate.

I took it to the dealer he is going to be boreing it out and putting the new crank in it. I would of liked to of done it but I have no free Time.

Get this I ask are Honda dealer what it would cost to fix it and he said $1200-$1500 and then I want to the Suzuki/Kawasaki dealer and asked them the same thing and he said $800-$900

Dude, you can buy used R motors all day long on ebay for less than $1000! That's absurd, go get your motor and find a friend who has some experience rebuilding 2 strokes and do it yourself.
