I just installed some Renthal bars on my 400ex. Am i suppose to reuse the ends (caps) on the stock bars and move them over to the renthals? Im not sure if they fit but i looks like it. What is their purpose? thank in advance.

im got new grips, but my old stock bars had these caps on the ends with a philips screw on there. I unscrewed it and out came a steel bar that apparently holds the cap in place. Do i need to install this in my new bars and whats the purpose of this device other than keeping the hole closed at the end of bar. Thanks again.

no don't put them on the renthals.....they just hold on the grips......if you have probs with the renthals coming off get some grip glue.

yeah just chuck those bar end things in the trash! no need for them just use some hairspray or grip glue if they fall off or come loose.
