Pretty tough on a quad! You have 2 front brakes and 99% of the time they don't pull exactly the same.

Most likely one will grab more than the other which will spin you around then it will flip and smash you into the asphalt.

BTDT! LOL Never again!

Chris, what kind of crack do you smoke? Stay off it.

I've done endless amounts of stoppies and have never had one tire stop and the quad spin around..

Anyway, I'll try and help you out Exrider, What I did when I first started was tip my feet so my toes were pointing down but still firmly planted on the pegs, put my knees firmly against the gas tank, and hammered the front brake while kind of tossing my weight forward. I found it tricky to perfect at first but after you learn it is a breeze, when you hammer the brake and if the back end does come up it will be quick so you'll have to learn when to let go before you flip right over. It basically takes practice, and once you got it down it'll be a lot easier, now I don't even really put my weight forward on the quad, I just change my foot placement and hit the brakes.

i would do it in the grass. i have went too high once and went right over the bars. it looks pretty cool when doing it but going over the bars isn't fun. i would start off slow. i can do it in 1st gear. 2nd gear is almost too much. the key is your weight shifting. the more you shift your weight, the slower you need to be going. better weight transfer will also provide better traction for the front 2 wheels. you can hit the brakes pretty hard of you want. i usually do anyways.

Try first gear, you can move upto higher gears as you get better, jst shift your weight as you put brake pressure on. It is a lot easier then it sounds.. just practice and try it.
