Default recon lights.....?

did you see the pics in my page, theres a positive and a negative only, theres no ground, so i guess ill test it out any way, i found out the wire i need is only going to b like 5 bucks anyway. 20 feet should be enough. WHAT IS THAT PANEL THERE FOR ANYWAY? and they sent me 2 switches how many did you get?

Default recon lights.....?

i did all the wiring today, and all thats left is drilling and mounting the lights, then trying to run the wire throught the grille so you dont see it and it doesnt get ripped off. thanks for everthin.

Negative and ground is the same thing. The negative terminal of the battery is connected to the frame, which then becomes ground. As for the switches, i'm not sure why they would give you two switches. I don't think the panel on the dash is really for anything other than covering the dash screws, but it makes for a convenient mounting location if your switch is the right size.

A suggestion for mounting your lights... if you use electrical tape or zip ties you won't have to drill into the quad, and if a tree branch or other debris hits the lights they will be pushed out of the way, and won't break as easily.

Can you post pics of your quad? i would sure love to see. secondly, wil the cable ties hold well on ruf and rocky terrain, i dont want them to bounce around.

I USE CABLE TIES ON MINE AND IT WORKS GREAT. IF IT SEEMS TOO LOOSE TIGHTEN THEM UP OR PUT SOME MORE ON. I'LL TRY TO GET SOME PICS POSTED SOMETIME THIS WEEK.

ok so today i finished wireing the negatives and i was all done, ready to take the pics.... until i switched on the lights and BAM, one wouldnt work, sooooo..... i checked all connections , all good, i removed the light itself right off the bracket and connected it directly to the batt, nothin, so i called the stealership and there gunna replace it tommorrow. bummer. by the way nice pics, but i think my lights are differend ill post the pics tomorow after noon. oh yeah, how does the megamax pipe work and ho much did you pay?

The MegaMaxII works good and sounds great. I've had it about 2 years now, but when I bought it my repair shop had it for around $180.
