the dust go's right through the filter and into the motor.
k&n will give you more power with a pipe and jets but not by itself.
my friend has (had) a k&n filter on his 600 griz.
and with just the filter his 600 was no faster then my other buds 600 griz with no mods at all.
both quads were exactly the same the only differance was one had a k&n filter and the other did not.
and he used the filter for a month of dirt roard riding and when he looked at the filter it was filthy inside and out.
and he wiped the inside if the air inlet and there was dust and dirt in there also.
so he cleaned it up as best as he could and put his old filter back on.
smart move i think.
k&n filters are for drage racing and street use there not made to protect from dust and other debries
of dirt road and trail riding.
