SureTrack Honda Wild Tip.......
#1
Fellow Honda owners, with the suretrack front diff.
A few weeks ago, I noticed the diffencial was not transfering power to the wheel with traction. OR , not all the time.
This weekend I replaced all my oils. But used GearSaver 80w90 in the diffs.. The difference was amazing, I can go up a sand hill with all 4 wheels spinning. Even at low speed I would get stuck with 4 wheels digging in the sand.

The oil is thicker At the start of a ride but remains a 80 when hot. I would guess any good 80 w 90 oil with honda's recomendations would do.
I could not beleive the diffrence and it was cheap, easy and not a modification...Just the way i like it.. You should try it for the price and give some feedback on the forum.

Sorry but I don't understand what you are saying. Are you suggesting that the differential oil that comes in the bikes is inadequate? Or are you saying that this Gearsaver brand is a lot better? And the question was asked where do you get it.
Your statement regarding oil weight is applicable to all oils.
Perhaps you can elaborate on what you were saying.
Thanks

I'm talking diffential oil only. The Honda oil is good, the oil I used was a 80w90 from GearSaver (it's a canadian product, any good gear oil would probable do.) My guess is, the Honda sae 80 may get a little thiner when hot. The 80w90 stays closer to sae 80 when hot. So thearfore giving better performance. For me living in the great white north, I will probable return to sae 80 during the winter.
