considering a Stage II HotCam, CDI box or a 11:1 comp. piston for my 400EX. which would be the best mod?. I ride mostly dunes and am looking to increase midrange and top end power. thanks

I would use a stage one Hot Cam, 11:1 but go up to a 416, 45pj, 168mj on the staock carb.

 

I agree with everything above. The Stage II is only recommended for 440 cc's and over. Basically motocross or desert riding setup.

 

And get rit of the FMF Q pipe if you can and get a powercore4 and but a 148 main jet in it and it should run great
