HELP - WHICH TO BUY 1996/97 MODEL

Ive read enough topics to know I am either going to get a polaris or honda when I buy.
My needs are going to be packing in on old stage coach trails and wooded hilly terrain. Will need enogh poewer for two riders. Now looking to set speed record but pull power.
Am I better suited for a foreman or rubicon or 400 ex. Dont know which models are automatic, reverse 4x4 etc.
Could use eome input here. Thanks everyone
