winch install woes
Need the help of all electricall experts PLEASE!. Bought a new foreman 450. Making the mistake of trying to install a "generic" 2000 lb winch. I have everything fitting correctly but I am not understanding the electrical connection....
I purchased the factory rocker switch to mount. My winch has like I assume most, two terminals to connect to. What exactly is the wiring procedure??
- do I have to purchase an aux solinoid or is there one under the bike?
- getting through the first question can anyone give me specific wiring info as to what goes where and what wire gauge etc.
Please help as I don't want to mess this install up
APPRECIATED.....

winch install woes
bighorn i installed a generic winch on my rancher quite easy, here is a url for a bunch of pictures of the install
Pictures
the winch electrical is simple 2 studs on the winch, it is a reverse polarity winch, put the postive on one side ground on the other it will go one way, switch the wires and it will go the other way, if u still need help wiring it let me know,
wire guage is 10 guage for my 2000 pd wincher, i ran a inline 20 amp fuse, and all is good, u will have 4 wires 2 go to battery , 2 go to the winch, the wires are connected up at the switch control where all 4 wires will connect to the switch
