Local dealer wants $6995 + tax+$540 setup fee+license etc.

The MSRP is only $5,799. That's ridiculous

They must be mistaken, theres no way anyone will pay that, you could get a 400ex, elkas, a 440 piston and a trx90 for that, not really but you know what i mean. unless of course the glave box is filled with crack

 

That was their 1st price. I walked thinkin that they would counter offer it....Which they did not.

I don't think they appreciated me when I told em I wasn't gonna pay $540 for them to install the handlebars and pump up the tires.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

im sure theres more than one dealer in cali, shop it, that dealer is an ***. or get him to drop the price, then you can take it in the crate, u assemble if its just tires and fluids and bat charge. i thought the bars were already on.

 

exactly. i like honda, but i'd buy one of these over a 400ex.


go to another dealer. that one is trying to rip you off.

 

The fact is that this dealer is ripping him off. Another dealer would sell at a reasonable rate.

Having said that, the 05 Z400 is still a great value with upgraded shocks, water-cooling, and probably a few more ponies with the carb upgrade and other motor improvements..
